Another Lion
Thank you, JS, for helping me recognize it was His roar I heard. For helping me put my sword down and worship. Two Lions I heard the lion roaring; His terrible strength Keeping me from sleep. I trembled at my window; Peering into night; Aware of his hunger. My sword hangs at my side; My armor scratched and dull-- Second skin. I have lived ready, Alert, On guard these long years. There are three currencies inside, and enough money for plane tickets if you need them. The contact list is there as well. Remember, just follow the plan and it will help you navigate whatever happens. I boosted the baby higher… Read More

When the Ground Gives Way Beneath You
I sink in the miry depths, where there is no foothold. I have come into the deep waters; the floods engulf me (Psalm 69:2). The Lord lives! Praise be to my Rock! Exalted be my God, the Rock, my Savior! (2 Samuel 22:47) The sand sucked away beneath my feet as the waves pushed in and pulled out on the seashore where I stood. The ground was literally giving way from beneath my feet. Looking out across the ocean, I strived to see something, anything, immovable and fixed on the horizon. I was also looking out across my life, striving to see something, anything, to anchor me again, to let me know that amidst the great expanse of unsteady waves stretching out before me there… Read More
