When it is an Act of Faith to Face the Day

An alarm clock with the words when it is an act of faith to face the day, describing the subject of the post.

Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.

Luke 10:19

Jesus loves me, this I know

For the Bible tells me so.

Little ones to Him belong;

They are weak, but He is strong.

Sometimes, with bruised hearts, weary bodies, and minds harried by the cares of life, it is an act of faith to face the day.

Life becomes a task on our To Do List, and facing it each morning may feel like hard work. We bravely rise anyway and go forth, wondering if people perceive how fragile we really are on the inside.

There is good news for the weak. Not only does Jesus love us, but He is also strong! He has not left us powerless. Indeed, we have access to great power. In constant acts of faith, we may draw upon it through the minutes and the hours, triumphantly.

The day becomes a faith practice. One step at a time. One conversation at a time. One day at a time.

When I feel impossibly small facing the giant pressures of life, when I am painfully aware of my weakness, my Jesus is strong. He is powerful, and He has given His power to me, His little one. I belong to Him, and He loves me, this I know; even when it is an act of faith to face the day.

Do I believe I have access to the Spirit of Jesus living in me, the power of the Holy Spirit, and the strong and gentle hand of the Father guiding my way?

Try it today.

Lord, I will face today in Your power. Amen.
